Introducing VM1

iPad Controller application for Vienna Ensemble Pro 7

At long last, after much discussion, conception, design, testing, and programming, VM1 is ready for the world. As passionate Vienna Ensemble Pro users ourselves, we wanted to make working with VE Pro a simple pleasure. We wanted to make things that were hard to do before, easy to do now.

VM1 is a new iPad controller app for Vienna Ensemble Pro 7.  VE Pro 7 is a powerful tool with a rich feature set and VM1 is designed to harness that power in a quicker and easier way than ever before!  Moreover, VM1 allows for new ways of interacting with VE Pro 7 to enhance your creative expression. Here are a few things you can do with VM1:

  • View all VE Pro 7 servers, instances, channels on the network

  • Stay in one DAW Environment, no need for screen sharing or KVM

  • Disconnect and disable/enable VE Pro 7 instances for better management of CPU Processing

  • Customize and organize VE Pro 7 instances for quick acess to any component of a large VE Pro 7 template

  • Create custom VM1 ‘Stacks’ for layering sounds & textures with ease

  • Compare and choose different sounds using VM1 ‘audition mode'

  • Instantly make changes to faders, pan and I/O

Don't take my word for it though, watch this trailer giving you a quick overview of some of the features!

VM1 for iPad & VM1 Helper

VM1 has two components to it:

  • The iPad app, available for free on the iOS App Store

  • The Helper app, available through purchase on our website as well as available with future releases of VE Pro 7 and its installer

The iPad app is the control surface, but won't be able to do much without its trusty Helper. The VM1 Helper app must be installed and running on one of the computers in your VE Pro network.
